In this Space-themed Assembly Program, The Great Jeffini is your Space Commander encouraging children to be Buddies, not bullies!
Children need friends and need to learn how to be and make best buddies. One cause of bullying is a lack of understanding how to build positive relationships. The Buddy Blastoff Assembly will teach students how to think of others as more important than themselves, how to put others first, how to listen more than talk, and how to share. It is a positive way to address bullying issues and a fun and creative way to teach boys and girls the importance of loving others as well as teamwork.
All the kids will become Space Cadets on their first training mission in the intergalactic space colony called "GALIS". They will meet several other new recruits including ZEUS the Space Alien, VERN the Asteroid Bird, and GUS the Martian Gorilla as they all learn how to be friends and how to make friends.
Teaching Topics include: Courage, flexibility, seeing things from another's point of view, accepting others who are different from you, bullies need friends too, listening, showing interest in the interests of others, honesty, teamwork and the importance of working together.
